AGF Steel specializes in the supply and installation of concrete reinforcing steel, wire mesh and post-tensioning for use in industrial, commercial, residential and institutional construction.
Estimating
Estimating is a free service at AGF Steel. We encourage clients and potential clients to submit the engineering drawings of their projects. Our experienced estimators respond promptly with estimates of cost and schedules.
Detailing
AGF prepares shopdrawings from engineering drawings provided by the client. These are transferred to the manufacturing plant via a computerized barlist and tagging system. The plant then completes the cutting, bending and delivery planning.

Installation
AGF Steel prepares installation plans for approval by the engineer. AGF teams install the steel rebar at the site according to this approved plan. The experience, competence and professionalism of AGF's installation teams ensures the complete satisfaction of our clientele.
Reinforcing steel
Deformed reinforcing steel bars:
- type R for general use
- type W where improved weldability or ductility is required
The difference is in their chemical composition.

Coated reinforcing steel bars for corrosion protection:
- epoxy coating (ASTM A775 standard)
- hot-dip galvanized (ACNOR G164 standard).
Reinforcing steel
AGF Steel offers deformed reinforcing steel bars in 400R, 400W, 500R and 500W upon request. These respectively meet two minimal yield strenght: 400 and 500 MPa, as specified by the standards. 400R and 400W are always available in stock.

Couplers
Our couplers, or mechanical joints, connect two reinforcing bars together and end-to-end so that they act like a single continuous bar, avoiding overlapping. AGF Steel provides and installs many types of couplers.
Post-tensioningPost-tensioning reinforces structural elements using highly durable materials such as posttensioning cables or bars. Posttensioning consists of applying a compression force on the concrete to actively counterbalance the effective forces of the structural element (notably the traction resistance). AGF post-tensioning teams have the equipment and know-how to complete all types of projects, no matter the size and complexity. |
